Upon evaluating your enquiry and conducting preliminary research on your property, we begin the building design process with a phone call. This conversation is aimed at discussing the project’s specifics, exploring the potential of your property, and identifying any limitations or constraints. Following this, we schedule a face-to-face meeting to delve deeper into your Brisbane property design needs.
During our face-to-face meeting, we conduct a detailed review of your property to fully understand its characteristics and potential within the context of Brisbane building design. This free session is crucial for getting to know how you utilize your property and pinpointing exactly what you need from the project, enabling us to tailor our design solutions to fit your specific requirements.
Based on our understanding from the initial discussions and site visit, we’ll prepare a detailed fee proposal. This document outlines the scope of work, project phases, and associated costs, ensuring transparency and alignment with your expectations.
Once you’ve accepted our fee proposal we begin our comprehensive building design design process, detailed in the following diagram and stages. This journey is not just about creativity; it’s a collaborative endeavour involving builders and consultants to ensure a perfect balance of functionality, aesthetics, affordability, and buildability. We’ve designed our process to limit client expenses in the early concept stages, allowing us to refine and adjust the project according to budget and planning constraints. This careful approach to building design ensures that we only proceed with approvals when we’re confident the project meets all your needs and expectations. Our Building Design Process
Through collaboration with our design team and your builder, the concept plan provides sufficient detail to develop high-level preliminary estimates albeit with a few assumptions prior to engineering and approvals.
At the heart of our approach is the innovative use of a 3D Lidar scan. This technology not only aids in developing detailed plans and models of the existing house but also creates a Matterport digital twin. This digital twin becomes an invaluable resource, offering builders and later, external consultants, enhanced access to thoroughly review every aspect and condition of the property.
This enables the client to make informed decisions about proceeding with the application and construction phases without incurring the costs associated with developing a complete construction-ready set of documentation that includes engineering, applications, external consultants, and more.
